How to Access Your Data

?? Download Your Data

Open the Connecta app and go to your Profile tab.
Tap Settings (gear icon ??) in the top right corner.
Select "Privacy & Data" from the menu.
Tap "Download My Data" to request a copy.
Verify your identity via email or SMS code.
Receive your data within 48 hours via secure download link.

How to Edit & Update Your Data

?? Update Your Information

You can edit most of your personal data directly in the app:

Profile Information

Go to Profile �� Edit Profile
Update your name, photos, bio, and interests
Tap Save to confirm changes

Account Settings

Go to Settings �� Account
Update email, phone number, or password
Verify changes via email or SMS

Dating Preferences

Go to Settings �� Discovery Preferences
Adjust age range, distance, and other filters
Changes apply immediately

How to Export Your Data

?? Data Portability

You can export your data in a portable format (JSON/CSV):

Go to Settings �� Privacy & Data
Select "Export My Data"
Choose export format (JSON or CSV)
Receive a secure download link within 48 hours

Your export will include: profile information, preferences, messages, matches, and activity history.

How to Object to Data Processing

Go to Settings �� Privacy & Data
Select "Data Processing Preferences"
Toggle off any processing you want to object to:
  • Marketing communications
  • Personalized recommendations
  • Analytics & improvement
  • Third-party partnerships
Your preferences are saved automatically

How to Restrict Data Use

?? Temporarily Limit Data Processing

If you're disputing data accuracy or have objected to processing:

Email privacy@connecta-app.com with subject "Restrict Data Processing"
Explain which data you want restricted and why
We'll confirm restriction within 72 hours
Your data will be stored but not actively processed

Delete Your Data

You have the right to request complete deletion of your personal data. When you delete your account:

  • Your profile becomes invisible immediately
  • Account is frozen for 7 days (you can cancel during this time)
  • All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days
  • Some data may be retained for legal compliance (see Privacy Policy)

We're committed to responding to your data requests promptly:

  • Data Access/Export: Within 48 hours
  • Data Update (in-app): Immediate
  • Data Restriction: Within 72 hours
  • Account Deletion: 7-day freeze + 30-day deletion
  • Formal GDPR/CCPA Requests: Within 30 days
