Delete Your Account

We're sad to see you go. This page will guide you through account deletion.

โš ๏ธ Before You Delete

When you request account deletion, your account will be frozen for 30 days before permanent deletion. During this period, you can cancel the deletion and restore your account at any time.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

  • Your compatibility data and preferences
  • Call history and chat messages
  • Subscription benefits (no refunds for unused time)
  • All account settings and preferences

To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud, we may retain certain data for a limited period:

  • Transaction records (7 years for financial compliance)
  • Safety/abuse reports (to protect other users)
  • Legal dispute records (until resolution)

How to Delete Your Account

There are two ways to delete your Connecta account:

Option 1: Delete From the App (Recommended)

Open Connecta App

Launch the Connecta app on your device and make sure you're logged in.

Go to Settings

Tap on your profile icon in the bottom navigation, then tap the gear icon (โš™๏ธ) in the top right corner.

Navigate to Account

Scroll down and tap on "Account" in the settings menu.

Select Delete Account

Tap "Delete Account" at the bottom of the Account section.

Choose a Reason (Optional)

Help us improve by selecting why you're leaving. This step is optional.

Confirm Deletion

Enter your password and tap "Delete Account" to confirm. Your account will be frozen for 30 days before permanent deletion - you can cancel anytime during this period.

Option 2: Request Deletion via This Website

Can't access the app? Submit a deletion request using the form below.

Account Deletion Request

We'll send a confirmation email to verify your request. Your account will be frozen for 30 days, during which you can cancel the deletion by logging back in.

Deletion Timeline

๐Ÿ”„ 30-Day Freeze Period

Your account is frozen, not immediately deleted. During the 30-day freeze period, you can cancel the deletion at any time by simply logging back into the app.

  • Immediate: Your profile becomes invisible to other users and your account is frozen.
  • First 3 days: Your data is retained and you can cancel the deletion at any time by logging back in.
  • Days 4-7: You can still cancel the deletion, but your data is scheduled for removal and you will no longer have access to reclaim your account after day 7.
  • After 7 days: Account access is permanently disabled and you cannot restore your account.
  • After 30 days: All personal data is permanently deleted from our systems (irreversible).
  • Exception: Data required for legal compliance may be retained per our Privacy Policy.
๐Ÿ’ก How to Cancel Deletion:

During the 30-day freeze period, simply open the Connecta app and log in with your credentials. You'll see an option to "Restore Account" - tap it and your account will be fully restored with all your data intact.

Cancel Your Subscription First

Deleting your account does NOT automatically cancel your subscription. To avoid being charged:

Open the Connecta app, go to Dashboard > Manage Subscription, then tap Cancel Subscription.

Data Deletion Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

Under GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and similar privacy laws, you have the right to:

  • Request a copy of all data we have about you
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Receive confirmation of deletion

For formal data requests, email privacy@connecta-app.com with subject line "Data Deletion Request."
