Connecta takes a different approach. Our matching engine is built around compatibility — the measurable, predictable factors that determine whether two people are likely to build a meaningful relationship.

What Does "Compatibility" Actually Mean?

Compatibility isn't a single dimension. It's a cluster of factors that research has shown to predict relationship success:

When you set up your Connecta profile, you complete a compatibility assessment that captures these dimensions. The algorithm then calculates match scores based on weighted compatibility factors — with shared values and relationship goals carrying the most weight.

Over time, the algorithm learns from your in-app behaviour — which profiles you engage with, which conversations go well, how long your matches last — and refines your match suggestions accordingly. It's a system that gets smarter the more you use it.

Surprise Matches: When the Algorithm Goes Beyond the Obvious

One of Connecta's most interesting features is Surprise Matches — curated suggestions of people who may not fit your stated preferences exactly, but who the algorithm has identified as highly compatible based on your behaviour and deeper compatibility factors. These are often the matches that surprise people most — and lead to the strongest connections.

What Connecta's Matching Doesn't Do

We don't match you based purely on who you find attractive (though attraction is, of course, real and important). We don't show you people based on how many likes they have or rank profiles by "popularity." And we don't keep you swiping endlessly to drive engagement. Our goal is quality matches, not addictive scrolling.
